Hi everybody, I'm new of the forum of Proxmox and of Linux :)
I installed Proxmox on my Server DIY created with a Asrock J4105B-ITX Gemini Lake, with 16G DDR4, With one SSD 500G and with two Ironwolf of 4TB each, that I used in Raid/Mirror mode created with OpenMediaVault5.
Before Install Proxmox I used OMV5 and, as I had sayd, I used the two HD Ironwolf in Raid/Mirror mode and today the two HD are full of my files.
The last mounth I installed Proxmox on the server and I installed on LXC also Plex, that work fine; If I go on 192.168.1.59:32400/web I open the Plex interface.
Now I must connect the two HD Ironwolf in the Plex LXC for create the library and use my files but I don't know how I must recognze the Raid/mirror at Proxmox.
Can you help me, showing me the individual steps to do?
Sorry my bad english
Thanks and ciao

The OMV is now a VM and you used disk passthrough to bring the two HDDs into the VM?
I installed on LXC also Plex
Unprivileged or privilged LXC?

In case of a privileged LXC you might want to mount a SMB/NFS share from your OMV into the LXC.
In case of a unprivileged LXC that isn't possible. You would then need to mount that SMB/NFS share on the PVE host und use a bind-mount to bring the mountpoint of the NFS/SMB share into the LXC.

Hi Donuin, thanks for your reply.
If I understand correctly, you recommend using OMV on a VM and using the disk passthrough to mount the two HDs in Raid/mirror in the VM with OMV.
Then, still on OMV, I create a shared folder via SMB with all the files that I have on the two HDs, that I can use on the container with Plex to create the libraries, right?

And if, on the other hand, I use OMV's Docker to install Plex on a container of OMV, would I have a drop in performance compared to an autonomous LXC with Plex?
Thanks and ciao
