Hello all.

I initially installed Proxmox on my GMKtec G3 to run a Home Assistant OS VM. The theory was that I could use the remaining resources for something else in the future. Honestly, i wasn't convinced i would actually find something else to run on Proxmox - but low and behold its been less than a month and I already have!

I have a Sonos system at home with a large local FLAC library stored on a QNap NAS. Recently i saw some Sonos news saying Plex was now supported and provides additional metadata and search functionality to Sonos. I didnt realise Plex was a music server but now I've found the Plexamp app I am keen to run a Plex instance via Promox.

I allocated 2 cores and 4gb of memory for Home Assistant and it seems quite happy, so I have 2 more cores and 12gb of memory to play with.

In response to my previous post I was advised to run my services in a VM rather than an LXC. I have done some reading online and have found a roughly 50/50 split between people recommeding a VM and LXC so no definitive recommendation. I'm a novice when it comes to virtualisation so not sure how to proceed.

If you're still reading this - thanks! And if you have any thoughts or recommendations on how i should go about running a Plex server for music (no video or video transcoding) on my GMKtec G3 please let me know. Really enjoying Proxmox so far!
