Dear Promox Forum

I have had a Promox server for over a year now, it was running on an old laptop as a media server. I have moved to proxmox from a Raspberry and Docker. So i am not afraid of terminal but honestly sometimes just copy pasting commands without deeper knowledge about them,

The previous server had some issues with permissions as well, i think that was the issue. I have no idea how i solved it, it was a year ago. I may have granted everyone and everything 777 right, which i would like to avoid now. I would like to get it done the right and safe way.
I changed every right left and right again, nothing works, PLEX cannot see any file.

I will reinstall it again, just to get a fresh start so i do not leave a security risk. I will be using cloudflare to the outside and 2FA but still.

I am looking for some guidance like step to step on how to set this up, i care about how and why it doesnt work. I have spent the past 5 hours trying things, nothing seemed to work.

What else can i try?

Some more information:
This is a basic system equipped with a Ryzen CPU 2 SATA HDDs and M.2 drives.
Deluge CT is unprivilged as it comes out of the box
PLEX is privilged.

EDIT: i just made it worse, PLEX used to be able to view a lost+found a folder on the disk, now even they do now show up.
