Physical socket count implementing Proxmox in a Nutanix infrastructure

I am evaluating installing a Proxmox VE infrastructure (VE cluster + PBS) as a guest in a Nutanix infrastructure.
I read some pages in the web explaining what to do from a technical point of view.
My question, however, is how should I calculate the number of Physical CPU sockets in order to buy the required subscriptions?
The total number of physical CPU sockets supports the whole of the Nutanix infrastructure (including guests) while Proxmox servers will use only a subset.
How should I calculate the right number of sockets?
Is there any documentation about similar implementations?
Regards
