Should the Ceph pg_autoscale_mode be turned on after upgrading from Luminous to Nautilus? There is nothing on this topic here: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Ceph_Luminous_to_Nautilus but in the upgrade from Nautilus to Octopus it says: The PG autoscaler feature introduced in Nautilus is enabled for new pools by default, allowing new clusters to autotune pg num without any user intervention. Maybe there should be an info in the Luminous Upgrade Wiki.

Thanks Tom

There is no autoscaler in Luminous. It needed the feature to shrink the PG number.
And as it says, in Nautilus the autoscaler isn't set to active for new pools. By default it is set to warn for all pools. This doesn't change the behavior of the cluster since it will only warn about the amount of PGs. While in Octopus the new pools would increase/decrease the PG count right away.

But I will add the link to the autoscaler on the Nautilus->Octopus upgrade guide.
