PFSense only runs as a KVM guest and there is already a very nice ISO installer. so it makes no sense to solve a already solved issue - fast and easy installing PFSense on proxmox ve.

so just go for the ISO and start :-)
 
I'm debating about setting up a PFSense VM or a dedicated box for it. I have a dual port Intel PCI card in my PVE box already so I could dedicate another port to it, but I'm not sure how to.

there are some users in this forum already working with PFsense, just use the search function to find these posts.
