PCIe NIC port randomly changes

I am new to Proxmox and I have an issue with my Intel Pro/1000 PT Quad LP card. It appears that every time I reboot PVE, a port randomly changes. What I mean is I have two active ports, either one or both changes, so I have to change the cable to another port (not known which port is the right or active port). IF that makes sense.....
To note, it looks like the virtual NICs within PVE configuration hasnt change. So I didnt need to change anything on there, just the physical cable.

Anyone with any idea why and how to fix it? I am at a lost atm...

There may be a few things going on. What is you configurations for networking in proxmox. I as as bonds can be setup wrong. Also if both ports are plugged into the switch, it maybe the switch cant handle multiple connections from the host, and or portfast is on and turning one port off thinking there is a loop being created. Depending on the switch and your bonds ther may be a few items that need to be tweaked.
