[SOLVED] PBS web interface "login failed" - but works from command line

Hi,

What could be the cause of a failed web login to PBS for root using PAM authentication, when logins from the command line work using the same password? My /etc/proxmox-backup/user.cfg contains:

user: root@pam
    comment Superuser

I cannot see any relevant log lines (there are failed logins for root, but they appear to be from unrelated attacks). But perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place.

This spontaneously fixed itself after doing nothing but closing and re-opening the page. Possibly a cookie issue? Anyway, sorry for the noise.
