PBS Question - Non Proxmox use

Hey All,

Might be a silly question, but can PBS be used in a non Proxmox environment? Customer has a bunch of bare metal servers (Linux) and Xen VMs (Linux) and is looking for something to back those up via in-guest agents.

Also, is it file based or image based? They have a large NAS setup which is mounted inside the guests using NFS and need something to do file based backup off those NFS mounts.

Yes, you can install the proxmox-backup-client with apt and create backups from the "inside".

It looks like only Debian and Ubuntu clients are supported, am I missing CentOS support?
