[SOLVED] PBS name changed - no longer accessible from PVE

Hi,

I have a PBS running for a while without any issues. My PVE cluster is doing regular backups to the PBS.

Today, I changed the PBS's name (and FQDN).

Of course, under the new name (and the new FQDN) it can't be accessed anymore by PVE. So I edited the storage.cfg in PVE to reflect the PBS name (and FQDN) change. But for some reason, the PBS continues to be depicted with a question mark in the PVE GUI.

So I added the same PBS with a new entry with the changed name (and canged FQDN) and this is shown as working. But the modified old entry is not. Despite using the exact same info. How can this be?

if Storage name change,
rename the tied saved password too in /etc/pve/priv/storage/
