On first run I see this photo_2023-02-10_20-19-06.jpg

At the same time, pve 7 can be placed on it perfectly, unlike PBS

Then a workaround in case you don't get that problem fixed:
You can install a PVE and later turn that into a PBS by installing the proxmox-backup-server package as described here: https://pbs.proxmox.com/docs/installation.html#install-proxmox-backup-server-on-proxmox-ve
Would also offer some nice benefits. You should for example regularly restore VMs from backups and check if they are still working. With that you could restore the VMs locally to the same machine without causing additional network traffic and isolated PVE host won't conflict with other running VMs on your productive PVE cluster.

Thanks for your reply. I use two 1TB ssd raid 1 ZFS when installing pve. I can't then create a data storage from a portion of this 1TB Existing ZFS in PBS. How do you recommend doing it?

Is it possible to split a section in PVE that could then be allocated for storage in PBS?

You can manually create that datastore using the CLI.
First create a new dataset:
Code:
zfs create rpool/datastore1
zfs set relatime=on rpool/datastore1
zfs set recordsize=1M rpool/datastore1

Then add a new datastore by clicking the "Add datastroe" button in the PBS webUI where you point "Backing Path" to "/rpool/datastore1".
