PBS adding storage to datastore

I have a PBS 3.4 server with a 4tb disk and need to add more capacity. can I add a second 4tb disk and expand the datastore size.

sure, but it require different steps depends on the filesystem used by the first disk.

Hi,

Extending an existing ext4 partition with another disk directly is not possible.
If you need to use both disks as a one storage space you need LVM or ZFS.
LVM is more flexible.
In this case you need to put the backup data temporary to other storage while you're configuring this two disks into LVM or ZFS.
