pbr sync between 2 servers

Hello.
I have 2 pbr servers - 1 at the corp office and 1 remote. I have configured the corp to back up the vm's at that site, and that is working w/o issues.
I want to sync those backups, from the corp office to the remote site so that I have backups there. From what I understand the 'sync' process is actually a 'pull' from the remote site, to the destination site. If I understand this correctly - then the 'pull' or sync job should be done at the remote site to sync that data over to the remote site. Meaning that on the remote site I set up a sync job with the following:
source remote (corp office)
source database (local or remote) site.

Whenever I run the job it immediately completes - but doesn't sync anything. Here's the log -

I think I determined the issue. I had to modify the backup user account permissions to 'read' in addition to the 'backup operator' permissions. sync is going on now.
