Hello,

We currently have VM and CT sites on a Proxmox 5.4-13 facility. We have more and more problem I/O with a VM and according to my research and the many subjects here it would probably come from SoftRaid.

So it's time to change and take advantage to take a server a little more powerful.

My company likes OVH, but their offer systematically integrates SoftRaid. You advise me to perform a non-automatic installation and remove the SoftRaid (so we would have no RAID)?

We will surely take SSD now for performance.

Thank you in advance.

If you install from stratch you can select ZFS RAID1 in the installer. This will create a mirrored ZFS pool for the system.
Technically also a software RAID but not MDADM (if that is what OVH is using on the pre installed servers).
