Hi All,
I run VE (still 5.4 if this matters) on a pizza box where all physical network cards are used (one NIC is used directly and one NIC carries several VLANs to the outside firewall).
I now want to setup some VMs that share a set of "private networks", those networks dont need to be routed outside the box but only need to exists between the VMs. I thought that using a OVS Bridge would fit the requirements best but as I have no free physical network card I wonder if it is possible to setup an OVS Bridge that is not bound to a physical device. Is it possible to use the loopback interface or create a dummy adapter?
best regards
Oliver
