What is the way to override ip look for various SBL. Like barracuda.

We want to whitelist IP which should not be looked by PMG.

did you already try the smtp whitelist ? (configuration -> mail proxy -> whitelist)

Yes, I tried that. Even after adding IP there. Connection was rejected.

When such entries are added. Does it take sometime to effect? Or it is in real-time?

can you post the log of such a rejected mail as well as your whitelist?

Before whitelist

Oct 27 22:05:41 asg postfix/postscreen[203681]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from [159.89.190.29]:44044: 550 5.7.1 Service unavailable; client [159.89.190.29] blocked using zen.spamhaus.org; from=<xxxx@gmail.com>, to=<xxx.xxx@domain.com>, proto=ESMTP, helo=<45.55.125.37>

After whitelist

Oct 27 22:32:55 asg postfix/smtpd[205430]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from unknown[159.89.190.29]: 450 4.7.1 <xxx.xxx@domain.com>: Recipient address rejected: Service is unavailable (try later); from=<xxxxx@gmail.com> to=<xxx.xxx@domain.com> proto=ESMTP helo=<45.55.125.37>
Oct 27 22:32:56 asg postfix/smtpd[205430]: disconnect from unknown[159.89.190.29] ehlo=1 mail=1 rcpt=0/1 rset=2 quit=1 commands=5/6

Had disabled helo verification including SPF verification for this testing.

more logs would probable be helpful, but it seems the downstream server does greylisting? (i am not sure from where the log is and which roles the hostnames/ips have)

MX is pointed to PMG and then it forwards to mail server.

We are just trying to handle a scenario where IP might be blacklisted somewhere and can we still accept emails by whitelisted at our end in PMG.
