By any chance is there any plans to setup an outlook plugin for easy black listing?

The main gripe we hear is the pain of blacklisting via the web interface, people would like to be able to forward to a blacklisting address or using a button in outlook.

not planned. and for most users personal blacklisting is not needed.

and keep in mind, there are three different types of blacklist and we are happy if the mail admins understand this - end users got confused. so we try to not encourage end users to use personal blacklists in an extensive way.

so if someone gets a message into their inbox that they want to blacklist - whats the recommended way of doing it?

what are the three different methods?

if you got just a few, just delete it. if you got always the same go for the personal blacklist but normally this should not happen.

blacklists:
- RBL on SMTP level and via spamassassin rules
- Blacklist(s) configured in the rulesystem by the admin
- personal blacklists

the same for whitelist:
- SMTP whitelist (no spf, no greylisting)
- whitelist on rulesystem
- personal whitelist

so if someone gets a message into their inbox that they want to blacklist

What do they want to blacklist. The sender? The sender IP address? The envelope sender? The content?

And the main problem is that almost any spam mail change all of those attributes for each mail.

Can you see the problem?
