Since Oracle forbids to distribute java, it is quite hard to get java installed on a linux system, are there any plans to get your vnc client working with openjdk?
Sorry, where exactly did you read that Oracle will forbid the distribution of Java? Also, Open Java is available for Linux and other operating systems. There is also Iced Tea, and GNU's version available.
It's not about "will forbid", it is already removed from some distros like Debian and openSUSE, opendjk does not work with the proxmox vnc client, does it for you?
its not allowed to distribute but its still allowed to install by the user. just to mention, the whole windows world install it this way, so I am sure also a Linux user is able to do it. why not?
It's not about if I am able to, maybe I am, it's about that I need to, the fact that I don't need to search the whole Internet for Software is the reason, I use Linux also as Desktop.
the question is why is openjdk crashing so many times. I assume its not that easy for us to fix this. just to note, its works with the free version but not stable.
