Hi,

I'm trying to get quota's to work within a OpenVZ VE (template: debian-6.0-standard_6.0-1_i386).
The host filesystem is ext3.

I have checked the Enable User Quotas checkbox under the VM's Options tab, but I still can't activate user quotas.

Anyone have any idea why?

Thanks,

Florian

Hi Florian,

Did you reboot the VM after enabling User Quota's? You need to do this as quota's can't be enabled on a running VM, the settings are set but don't become active until you reboot the VM.

Thanks,
Nick D.

You have quota package installed on the OpenVz guest? And did you enable quota in your /etc/fstab for the partition you want quota enabled?
