Hi
when i want to create an openvz VM i do not have the possibility to select a Store. Is there a chance getting the openvz VM stored on ISCSI/LVM?

or if not, is it possible somehow to make a backup to a ISCSI LVM?

In my tests i found out that i can not add a ISCSI/LVM Store that can be used as BACKUP, only virtual Harddisks are supported.

And another question is: The backup is not working if the VM is SUSPENDED or SNAPSHOT'ed and even a migration is only possible if the VM is shut down. is that a known issue?

I need several VM's running Databases (oracle,Postgres and Mysql) is openvz a good choice for that or should i better take kvm?

use a NFS share for backups. (LVM is not suited for backups)

we do not have suspend or snapshot in the gui, so how do you use it, how to reproduce in detail?

depends on many factors, OpenVZ has several advantages but does not work with multiple storage like KVM.
