once more : keyboard layout in noVNC ...

hiho @ all ...
... I've installed a Proxmox 4 on my server.
Works fine ... except the noVNC-console ...
Neither proxmox-shell nor kvm-guests (linux) get the right keyboard layout, configured in datacenter -> options, set to German (de)

for the linux-kvm-guests, "loadkeys de" is working.
but not for the shell.

Tried it with FF42 and IE11 under WIN10 and IE11 under SERVER 2008 R2
IE11 is more strange than FF:
By using the button "console", the console opens fine.
By using the tab "console", the console didn't open ... "unsupported encoding"

Any ideas?

Works on my machines here.

What does
Code:
localectl status
outputs on your node?

You have to set the correct keyboard layout on the Host and Guest OS also to get everything working as expected.

When you plug in a German keyboard to an physical machine with the us layout set it does not work either :)

Hmm, looks good.

Can you give me a test case to see whats not working, because I'm using also a German keyboard layout and as far as I've seen everything works, using FF41.
Maybe I'm overseeing something obvious.

by opening the console for a linux kvm guest, the german layout is not usable.
f.e.: ä,ö,ü without function, z and y changed ...

in datacenter the keyboard is set to german (de) and in the guest it's set to default.
but a change in the guest to german (de) is not making any changes ...

via ssh everything works as expected ...

is that ur wanted example?

Similar problem here. French-Canadian keyboard passes all characters okay, even the AltCar ones, EXCEPT for the dead keys. Trying to use a dead key yields the unmodified character that follows the dead key.
