Hello all,

I have an issue where my network cards 10GB/s generate the following error: i40e 0000:02:00.1: Error I40E_AQ_RC_ENOSPC, forcing overflow promiscuous on PF.
Especially annoying because it makes my and other peoples servers unreachable for a few times a month. It requires a reboot.

This seems to be an issue since 2020. Now there is a fix for it: https://github.com/intel/ethernet-linux-i40e/releases/tag/v2.27.8. Can this bug fix be integrated into the PVE kernel?

Thank you!

Yeah this issue is about to make me go back to VMware. There's no resolution I can find and I cannot have my hypervisor becoming unreachable and all VMs crashing until I reboot the host.

This isn't some weird NIC. This is and intel NIC and in my case built into a Supermicro motherboard. Exactly the hardware Proxmox should be supporting.
