NVMe timeout during VM backup

Hello people,

I need some help to figure out a problem. Every week I make a backup of the VM's and containers. This week it crashed during the backup of my Plex container (101). In the GUI task it stops when it says creating vzdump archive. The journalctl shows below, it starts showing timeouts from the NVMe, then it resets the controller. After that everything freezes, for a while I can access the commandline, but that will eventually loose connection. I have to hard shutdown the server, and after starting it again, everything works, including the Plex container. Only part of the logging is gone, so I can't see what happened in detail anymore.
Any ideas what to look for? I have tried stopping the VM for a backup instead of a snapshot, but no improvements.

Hi,
this might be due to the NVMe controller overheating (which you can check by monitoring the disks temps) or the disk failing. Check the disks SMART status. Also check if the disk is seated correctly, but very likely a hardware issue not related to Proxmox VE itself.
