Hi I have found a 3 year old post and a 15 step work around for installing proxmox ISO with a Nvidia GFX card, I am curious if after 3years the same problem exists and the same work around is required?

I would like to install graphical proxmox using a MSI mobo amd CPU,MSI 1650ti Nvidia GFX card, I have found through google (last lines of loader) it is the Nv card eg proxmox wont install without a series of steps (15 so far the best looking) to install on a computer using a Nvidia card,
I was hoping there is a installer that works on common hardware - the best answer I have found so far is a 15 step process, have found others but i didnt want into install console, really wanted graphical.

Is there a real easy faceroll style installation method using a NV card is the crouch of the question, is this "working around" going to be something that is on going? Im not a tux user but understand I have to use it now for things I want to do and am well past any want for endless "work arounds".

Did you actually try to install PVE8.1? I read a lot of posts and dedicated Nvidia GPUs not working is not a common problem.
 
nomodeset gets me down through till 'starting installer GUI' then after a bit ends with 'Installation aborted unable to continue'

Have read posts where people are still asking for the installer to be fixed since 7.1 after them rolling back on 7.2 then ppl rolling back off 8.1 to get it installed.

will give 7.4 a whirl and if that cannot install on common hardware I will use something else.
 
Seems I have found the work around for installing 8.1 using NV cards, use 7.4
