Number of IP aliases allowed?

I understand that to add IP aliases to a specific OpenVZ container that you simply add them through the GUI in a comma separated list. I tested this (using venet) and it works great.

However, I was wondering if there's a limit to the number of IPs that can be added this way? For example, would 100 IP aliases on a single container cause a problem?

What type of problem would it cause? Does the interface have a limit on the number of IPs it can handle? I can't think of why it would be a problem otherwise.
