Good day,

I am having a challenge with Proxmox VE 5.4-3. It was working fine until last week when it started to give “failed to connect to server” and “Error: failed to run vncproxy” when i try to connect to console.

Please assist me.

hi,

in the error message: Could not open /dev/pve/vm-100-disk-0: no such file or directory

so it seems the disk is missing? maybe you moved it somewhere or renamed it?
can you post qm config 100?
running qm rescan might find it as well.

here is the results of qm config

ok, if you run lvs -a do you see vm-100-disk-0 or vm-100-disk-1 ? if not then your disks have moved to a different storage or got deleted...

so that's why your VM isn't working. you need to find your disk and change the configuration accordingly and it should work.

both vm-100 disks are visible.
