Hi all,

Since updating to Firefox 147.0.3 (64-bit) earlier last week, I can no longer open the noVNC console in PVE. It just shows an endless loading spinner when trying to connect to any VM console.

Environment:
  1. PVE Version: 9.1.5
  2. Firefox: 147.0.3 (64-bit)
  3. Other browsers tested: Chrome, Edge (both working perfectly)

Symptoms:
  • Clicking "Console" on any VM opens the noVNC window, but it stays on an infinite loading spinner
  • No error message visible in the UI
  • Browser console (F12 >> Console tab) shows no JavaScript errors
  • The network tab shows no failed requests (all HTTP 200 OK)

Already tested:
  1. Firefox Private/Incognito mode >> same issue
  2. Hard refresh (Ctrl+F5) >> no change
  3. Other browsers on the same machine >> work without issues (ruling out server-side/network problems)

Is anyone else experiencing this with the latest Firefox 147.x? It worked fine before the browser update, so I suspect either a Firefox regression or a changed security/policy setting that's blocking the WebSocket/VNC handshake.

If others can reproduce this, I'm happy to provide more detailed logs or debug info if needed.

Thanks for any feedback!

It works ok for me on v147.0.2 and v147.0.3, both on Linux, accesing noVNC from PVE9.0.x, PVE9.1.x and PVE8.x. Try it from a VM to discard some issue with cache/whatever on your current PC.

It looks like it was due to an AV collision. With the current 147.0.4 (64-bit) everything works just fine.
