Hi there,
I just updated from 1.5 to 1.6. to 1.7. to 1.7. hotfix. Allways rebooting inbetween.

BIG COMPLIMENT - IT WORKT PERFECTLY !!!!

Now, after two weeks, we have a problem from one sender. The Log shows:
lost connection after CONNECT from
blablabla.bla[193.8.106.xxx

E-mails from this rather big Insurance could always be received. Now it's just waiting 5min after connection and then resets the connection.

Any idea what it could be?

Haven't found the problem with any other Server.

Thanks

JbS

hi,
is there a firewall in between doing smtp inspection (eg. cisco pix)? if yes deactivate this feature.

Firewall...

Hi Tom,
there is a Zywall as Firewall, but I don't think it doe's smtp-inspection.
Any further hint??

This looks like a problem on the sender side.

(BTW, it is not neccessary to reboot after applying servicepacks.)

Sender Problem??

That's what I thought so first. But I get the same maile on hotmail and gmx. But not at work through Proxmox.
That's why I'm checking up on it.
And I know that the sender has about 500 e-mail per day sent. And they all seem to arrive.

Must be a combinatin between the senders system and proxmox.

hi,

please send us your configuration and log files for analysis.

HowTo:
- make a backup via web interface or console (see "man proxbackup")
- send the backupfile and the log files (var/log/syslog) directly to me, t.huber@proxmox.com

Hi Tom,
just sent you the according files by e-mail.
Let me know, if you need somebody from the sender server to send you a e-mail!
Thanks for the help!

We’re still receiving mail for more than 4 previous renters. A lot of it is junk mail and although it’s annoying, I usually just throw it out, but I’m reluctant to toss certain pieces of mail that look more important. How would I go about “returning to sender”? Can I just write it somewhere on the mail? Is there a way to prevent it from coming?
