Greetings. I just installed an Intel X520 to a 10gbe/2.5gbe switch and I'm still limited to 1gbe on my VM (OMV).

I used ethtool to check the physical links and both my bridge and my physical are 10gbe on my hypervisor (Proxmox).

Bridge:

Physical:

Wake-on: d
Current message level: 0x00000007 (7)

I used iperf between Proxmox and my windows pc and I'm getting 2.5gbe which is to be expected.

On my VM (Open Media Vault) I used iperf and I cannot surpass 1gbe.

ethtool reports the virtual interface as

Settings for ens18:
Supported ports: [ ]
Supported link modes: Not reported
Supported pause frame use: No
Supports auto-negotiation: No
Supported FEC modes: Not reported
Advertised link modes: Not reported

I have also forced ens18 to be 10000mb/s and that also did not hlep.

I have tested the internal disk speeds at 175mb/s and 183mb/s so they are not likely the bottleneck.

Any help is appreciated!
