Non-bootable HD after Exporting from ESXi.

I exported an image from ESXi using the ESXi web interface, into a vhdx package. Successfully converted it to a disk image using qemu-img, and then imported it into my zfs local storage and attached it to a fresh Windows VM.

When booting, it errors out that there is not bootable device. I've tried different combinations of controllers and HD disk types to get around it, but no luck. Verified in the settings that the boot device pointed to the HD. As well, I attached the drive to a different VM as a secondary drive, and all the data is there, complete.
What can I do to make it bootable, or get past this?
