Node's keyboard language

Hello:
In the web-interfaces, at "Datacenter's-->Options" , I have the Keyboard-layout set to Spanish, but in the node's console and shell it is not well configured: can't write ":", "ñ"...
I have also installed keyboard-configuration package, but when I try to launch it (dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-layout), no window appears, it makes nothing at all.

This is also dependant on the language settings of your browser and the device it is running on, as well as the keyboard settings *within* your VM. These need to match up.
