What browser are you using? Which extensions?
Did you clear your browser cache? Can you reproduce it in a new incognito window?
It would also be helpful if you could provide a bit more context on the error messages using the browsers developer tools (especially about the syntax error). There you can also double check (under Debugger/sources) if your file modifications actually made it there or if you are loading a cached version.

The browsers were tested. Cache was tested. The error messages in the first post are the error messages you are asking for.
I wasn't asking for error messages.
I wanted more information on this part. Since you mentioned modifying this file it would be nice if you could just provide a copy of the exact version your browser was executing (the one in the browser dev tools, not from the file system).
Please provide the exact browser version. It may be relevant.
