I recently bought a Dell R710 server that I installed an LSI9211 card in and some Hitachi 900GB 2.5" Hard Drive HUC109090CSS600 6G SAS hard drives. When I look in the LSI BIOS I can see the drives and scan or format them so I know the system is seeing them. Also when I try to install Proxmox I get the following error for EVERY hard drive.

test device '/dev/sda' for CDROM ID
[sda] tag#2078 access beyond end of device
blk_update_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 64 op 0x0: (READ) f

Can anyone help me determine what the problem is? Thanks in advance!

****UPDATE****

After many many hours of Googling and trying many things, I have fixed this problem. Hopefully this post will help someone in the future. It appears to be related to the hard drives I purchased. They are NetApp drives and apparently many of these have a block size of 520 KB instead of 512 therefore they are not recognized by OS's. I followed this guide to fix the problem. Going to take a while because I have 10 drives to do but at least the drives are usable.
