Hey Folks,

I've heard great things about PBS, so I figured I'd give it a whirl. I got the ISO, burned it to disk and fired up my old xps 15 (circa 2014). The install went perfectly smooth, however when it boots up for the first time, my laptop can't find the OS. (I'm assuming grub bootloader)

I've checked the forums for some answers, here's the info from that:
  • This is an older laptop so there is no legacy/uefi boot option, It's all legacy
  • I did the installation again with the same result
  • I made sure I am in AHCI mode (not ATA, device does not support 'raid' mode)
  • I even cleaned the disk and did another reinstall with the same result
Any assistance would be appreciated

Thanks!
~Rick

If nothing works, as a workaround you could install a normal Debian 11 Bullseye (uncheck desktop and check ssh server while installing) and install PBS ontop of that.

Awesome! I saw this as an option for PVE but didn't see it in my search online. This is a perfect workaround for me

Thanks!
