No Networking on PVE 7

Please help.
Just upgraded from 6.4 to 7 and now I have no working network. I'm only able to connect to the server via iDRAC.
Network switch shows a link on the port the server is connected to.
Server shows the NIC is active and UP. (eno1/vmbr0)
I cannot ping the gateway from the host. I cannot ping the host from the network.
I've tried configuring the /etc/network/interfaces with/without the hwaddress and dns-nameservers options.
I've tried systemctl enable networking and several reboots
I'm out of ideas

Maybe the update has changed the naming scheme of your nics and now "eno0" is a different nic port. Do you have the output of an "ip addr" with Proxmox 6 to verify that MAC addresses and nic names are the same? I always do that before an upgrade just in case.

Make sure that "eno0" is the interface that is really connected to the right switch and the switch port is properly configured (no bonding/LACP, correct vlan settings). If its a manageable switch, verify that the port is in "forwarding" state and not blocking traffic due to spanning tree or any other reason.
