No network connection

Hello,

I recently installed PVE and am having no luck reaching the outside internet.

I am able to ping my local host and gateway (127.0.0.1 and 192.168.1.5) but no luck with 1.1.1.1.

PVE is running on an elitedesk 800 g3 mini.

Is this a different installation than the one in your other thread, which you said was resolved?

From your screenshot both 127.0.0.1 (obviously) and 192.168.1.5 belong the the host, i.e. the second IP is not the gateway.
Your screenshot also shows that you set the gateway to 192.168.1.1 - can you reach it?

In your workstation screenshot you did not include "ip route" output.
The workstation also appears to have a "curious" public IP on /32 network. Does it have direct connection to the internet?

You need to provide more details about your networks and routers. Perhaps even draw a diagram.
The best approach is to simplify thing down to basics and then build them up.

Correct, both Ethernet and wifi. It's also running ExpressVPN. Turning it off did not make a difference in connecting.

Thank you so much for your help. This is my first time using Proxmox in my homelab. I've had various devices connected over the years to this router so maybe that's why some of the outputs are so cluttered.

at the very least, your default gateway, according to your workstation settings, is .254 and not .1

This is my first time using Proxmox in my homelab.
Proxmox is a set of packages that are based on Debian Linux. What you are struggling with is basic Linux network understanding, not Proxmox.
Internet has many resources about networking basics for begginners.

This seems like an issue of missing or not-working nameservers. What does the command sudo cat /etc/resolv.conf yield?

Op is trying to ping a local and remote IP, DNS is not involved in this transaction.
Check your gateway IP : .1 or .254 ?
According to their workstation output the Gateway should be 192.168.1.254
