Is there anytime in prox where you need to use the lvcreate or lvextend commands ?
I think I finally figured out that I do not need to create the LV for new VM or CT - proxmox does t for you .at the time of the vm/ct creation ..... and I finally figured out that it can expand the size of the filesystem, w/o going through the command line.
This lesson was learned through trial and error after trying to get storage space from a newly installed 2TB hd to be apportioned to an existing container .. it is so very different from work, where almost everything is Windows 10 -- I live in 2 different worlds, but I do believe the proxmox/Debian world is more fun...
I have successfully carved out 3.5T of space from an original 1,5 from the VG to apply to a newly-minted Turnkey-linux fileserver appliance which is now rsyncing as I type...it is totally worth the time spent with this platform..
Comments very much appreciated..
