Hey guys,
i am running proxmox on a small mini PC. So far the system was running on a 2,5 SSD via USB 3.0. Because of less power consumption i bought a m.2 SATA adapter and am running it via the m.2 Slot.
Since this change i am running into trouble. At first it did not boot, because the system did not find any device. I bootet via supergrub USB Stick - it found all the grub instances, i could start just fine.
According to the things i read, i installed grub after booting via supergrub BootStick (within the proxmox system):
grub-update (all the entries were found)
install -grub /dev/sda (installed no problem)
The reboot without the USB-Stick was fine, no trouble, grub was loading. The problem is, evertime the system was switched of for some hours, the problem is there again. It does not find the device. I can start via supergrub USB Stick again, i get into the system then, no problem. I can even reboot, no problem. But as soon as i shutdown for some hours, the problem is there again.
It does seem as it would not safe the "grub status" in memory. I don't know what to do. The /boot/efi partition is on sda2. So i tried install-grub /dev/sda2 as well, same problem.
Do you know how to solve this annoying problem?
Thank you very much.
Cheers.
