Hi,
I have been looking about doing backups and using vzdump with an NFS share.
I have a Xeon double quad core mac runing OSX server 10.6.3, and i have the NFS Share setup through my mac. but when i go to the proxmox and put in the ip and scan comes up with:
Capture.PNG

So my question is does proxmox only support other proxmox NFS shares or do i have to setup my Mac NFS a special way?:confused:

Thanks,

you need to setup the NFS on the osx in the right way. (I am no osx expert, sorry)

I use an XServe G5 as an NFS share and can see it just fine on PVE. I don't use it for PVE however, I use it on my KVM's as a destination backup nightly for our DB files.

Rugby,
I believe that's what I want do do... I just want to have a backup of my KVMs happen weekly or nightly so that if anything goes wrong I could mearly copy the backups to a new proxmox if needs be. Or if I'm doing that should I look into doing a cluster of 2 proxmox machines? Or both backup to OSX and have a cluster?

Ok so after playing around on my mac i found that under my shared point "Server Admin/NFS/Share Points/specified share/Protocol Options/NFS/" i had to check the "Export this item and its contents to: client list (put the IP)"
and then i could click export on proxmox and it worked out great.. the only problem was the permissions but i added that and it worked fine.

Thanks all,
