When I initially set up MY NFS share through the gui, it only created enough chunk space for 30GB out of a 1TB drive. When I set up the same drive via cli with mount/fstab it created enough space to fill the drive,

I can't seem to find the reason why it acts differently.

I think I found my answer. 30GB was the size of the local disk that I provisioned, and when I added a store I noticed there is no "NFS" option I just typed in the path of the NFS share.

So with PBS, using remote storage via mount/fstab is the best practice method?

Hi,
yes, there is no NFS storage configuration option for the WebUI, as datastores backed by NFS are not recommended for performance reasons.

So if you are aware of the implications, and you want to set up the datastore on NFS anyway, mounting the NFS share via cli and providing the path to the mount point is the way to go.

Understood, for my humble uses NFS works just fine. I just set up a new node in my lab and through the same process it only shows 30GB was created and doesn't show the full disk usage.

Not sure why the inconsistent result.
