Hello everyone,

I'm new to Proxmox and kind of to Linux. I work with VMWare at work, but recently came across an old tower server and wanted to build something at home. I am trying to understand the guide but failing somewhere. I did run updates first to get to the most current version of 7. I have nothing on this server, so I could do a clean install without loss, but I figure this would be a good time to get more familiar with Linux and Proxmox. Here is the output I see requested in other posts when people are having this problems.

I am working with no subscription right now, but as I get more established would go that route. Without going into great detail, I have tried some things I have seen in the other forum posts but haven't had any luck.

Bash:
root@ProxServer:~# pveversion
pve-manager/7.4-20/5d6e3351 (running kernel: 5.15.158-2-pve)

Bash:
root@ProxServer:~# pve7to8

So I found this thread from 2022 https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/upgrade-failed-pve-apt-hook-not-found.107950/

I ran apt install proxmox-ve this appears to have completed the update but there are still updates in the GUI and I am unable to complete them because I still receive this error
