Newbie here I have 7.3.1 installed and want to upgrade to 7.4?

I see someone already asked this question but for us newbie's how do I upgrade my 7.3x to 7.4x, Is there a secret menu to upgrade your current installation to the latest? I have downloaded the new ISO and I ran the installer but I did not see an option to upgrade only to do a full install?
Any help would be appreciated. thanks Jim

It's just a normal upgrade you do like every minor/patch upgrade by going to "YourNode -> Updates -> Upgrade button" in webUI.

I am on 7.3.3 and when I do these steps, I see it is doing a apt-get dist-upgrade in the shell and comes back 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. Is this the process for going from one version like 7.3 to 7.4?

I would guess you never got a working repository to check for updates.
PVE comes with the enterprise repo you can only use when using a subscription. If you don't want to pay for a subscription, you need to remove the enterprise repo and add the no-subscription repo like described here: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Package_Repositories#sysadmin_no_subscription_repo
