I am currently in the planning phase for my next personal project. A native VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) solution. No code is available at this time.
I have moved multiple VM environments to Proxmox and use Proxmox for my own use, and figured that contributing a vmware horizon "like" VDI solution on top of Proxmox would be a great way to contribute to the community. Below is a quick list of things I plan to support.
If anyone is interested please let me know I am open to all feedback

- Non-persistent desktops that reset to a clean state after each session for shared or stateless environments.
- User Management and Authentication:
- Integration with popular directory services like Active Directory, FreeIPA, and LDAP for user authentication.
- Support for multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO) to enhance security.
- Automated Golden Image Creation:
- Support a automated and reproducible Golden image workflow.
- RDP and Spice Support
- Support Spice and RDP sessions
- Custom RDP gateway to connect users to their Desktop.
- Automated Desktop lifecycle management
- Allow admins to track what users are using which golden images and a way to keep Desktops using the last X newest images etc....
