Hello everyone, and I could use your expertise on a new proxmox installation. What I like to do is to install proxmox on a single mvme then move everything I can to a switch pci card with 4 mvme’s. first question are there options of file format when creating a new volume (when creating a zfs raid 1 vol)? What to use? Compression? Etc if there isn’t, then one most format the new volume, what to use?

What can I move? Logs, VM’s etc. How to do it, GUI is easier, what’s the command line equivalent . Once that’s done I can start creating VM‘s.

Next step is configuring the virtual switch, vlan’s.

That’s for starters, I’m sure I’ll have move questions, Thanh’s for your help

daily reminder : ZFS is angry about SSD, fast wearout, not fast as excepted, without datacenter disks.
