New proxmox install. unable to connect SSH (windows 10)

Hi,

I can not get the to the Proxmox GUI to display. & not sure what i'm missing.

Proxmox Install
1. I have Installed Proxmox on a Laptop (as a VM server)
2. Connected the Proxmox laptop to a Windows 10 Laptop, Via etheret cable
3. Opened Browser, put in HTTP IP address. Here, there is No Proxmox GUI Display
(Most tutorials i've found have this working)

So i have looked at the Network / Firewall setup, Without Success.

Firewall
4. I have added the IP address to the Windows Firewall.


SSH Connection
5. My Windows 10 is Version 21H1; Which does not have the OpenSSH Client Available
6. I have Tried Putty, without Success. 'Connection Timed Out' Error
- Am i doing something wrong here? i have tried multiple ways of typing the IP address. Now i'm just guessing.
7. I have Git Command, without Success. 'Connection Timed Out' Error

- i'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Hey,

is your Windows laptop on the same network? I assume not, since you said you connected them directly. The easiest would be, to just have both(win and PVE) connected to the normal router you use. If that's not an option, you can assign a static IP to your win laptop[1], something like 192.168.100.3. With this setup however you won't have internet on your PVE

Also,
I just bridged the Wifi & Ethernet Networks. & now the GUI Displays correctly.
Also, Putty now connects to the IP

I think this solved the problem, But i dont full understanding yet. so not sure.
