New Proxmox install - I/O errors

Proxmox newbie here - but managed to follow enough guides to get Proxmox 8 installed and spin up a Windows 10 vm on hard drive /sdf
Everything seems to work ok but I'm getting numerous I/O errors. Is this indicating a hard drive error of some kind? Getting no failed status on SMART info.

yes, this is an indication of physical drive problems.
