Ever since I set up pfsense, I am unable to access the proxmox web portal. I have an IP range for my network devices, but the default web portal ip does not fall within it.

On my server I have installed a VM that runs Apache web service. The strange thing is that my router is assigning that VM an IP, and I can visit that page by typing in its IP.

Any idea what could be going on here?

By default PVE will use a static IP and won't ask for a IP/gateway/DNS via DHCP. Try to edit your /etc/network/interfaces, /etc/hosts and /etc/resolv.conf to change your IP/gateway/DNS to something that matches your pfsenses subnet.

There should be a line like "nameserver 8.8.8.8" pointing to the IP if your DNS server (which is usually your routers IP address).

ok, I changed the nameserver to my routers IP. But I am still not getting a connection, unfortunately. I also opened the port for the proxmox web interface. I chose to open the "LAN subnets" option, but there are also "LAN addresses" option too. Any ideas for a next step? Also, I pinged the web address and the request timed out.
