New networkcard.

Hi,

I would like to install a 4 port networkcard in the server i got running at home.

Hardware server:

Asus P11C-I
I3 8100
Hyperx 2x16GB non ecc
2x crucial 500gb SSD
flexatx 250 power supply


Got an HP 331T 4port card available, but wil it work? Or does it only work with HP servers?
Is it better to buy another card? Which one wil work with proxmox? Do i need to install some drivers etc?

If you have a free PCI slot it fits into, I don't see why it wouldn't work. Most devices are supported natively, without requiring a specific driver, but that depends on the device of course. HP stuff I would assume to work.

In general, PVE is just Linux, so anything compatible with Linux will work. Try it out and see what happens

Please also post your '/etc/network/interfaces' config, and describe in more detail:
* How you expect it to work
* What specifically doesn't work
* What and how you tried to configure
