New Mobile App for Proxmox VE!

it needs to be able to connect to the API port of your PVE system. you can setup a VPN for remote access, and/or lock it down with a firewall (both on the PVE system, and/or in front of it).

Sorry to border again, but I read on page 8 that there are still possibilities for iOS app.
If I search in app-store, i can found different ones.

Which of these are the suggest one? Or better, belongs to Proxmox development...

i just recently started using this app since i migrated my desktop to being virtualised under my server to save power, and it was really surprising that the proxmox app lacks the ability to take a snapshot...

it supports backup, but then you have to do a full backup, whereas the dedicated snapshots menu for BTRFS/ZFS filesystems doesn't exist in the app

if you would like to see new features in the app, please open an enhancement request here: https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/

I have a strange issue with the app (in the latest version, but also in previous versions on a Android 13 phone) which makes it unusable for me. When I click on resources in the app I get a popup error message "Null check operator used on a null value", this then keeps popping up untill I leave resources. I haven't seen any mention of the error in this thread, so it could have something to do with my proxmox installation...

probably a bug in the app that does not anticipate the vm configurations you have set, could you please open a bug on https://bugzilla.proxmox.com ? there we can discuss/track that better

Very very nice app, I hope once you guys will implement this for IOS as i know apple can be a pain in the ... for gaining access to the app store.

Once again great work.

Check out proxmobo on iOS, it gets the job done. Doubt these guys will ever spin out the iOS version of their app, they have been pretty clear that they dont' want to jump thru Apple's hoops

We will not stop hoping. Some of us abhor the evil of big goog and their vile stain upon the world.
Just switched my company over to Google Workspace and we are pretty happy so far.. they have decent human support as well. Well, i hope they release an iOS version as well.. but lately using a Pixel for AI... seems Apple dropped the ball on AI.

Apple dropping the ball on AI is entirely immaterial to this topic. Frankly, they have so much capital that they could come in and buy xAI or OpenAI at any given moment and not miss a beat. I just want to use Proxmox on a Proxmox-org-developed app. I use a third party one right now, and it works, but I feel like I would prefer to admin all of our instances with a Proxmox version that has maybe a superior understanding and vision and tooling.

But yeah, I will never stop saying it: Big gooey goog is 100% evil.

When I was in my 20s in the 90s, M$ST was the big evil, it's an old tale.. I have no problem with any tech company, I'm over all those feelings. They are there to make money and I am there to use them.

Sounds like we're in the same boat. MS is still evil - was then and is now. Big Goog is just as bad - if not a little more. Obviously we're in the context of mobile platforms and thus not a more robust discussion of the evilness of these companies. Sadly making money is not what motivates Google. I wish it were, then it would be much easier to understand their twisted minds. Similar thought process with Micro$haft. Lol.
