New Install

Hello,

Sorry if this question has already been asked.

I am trying to install Proxmox on a server.

I've managed to get to the point where I can access the server with the IP address:8006

Now, I am trying to do two things:

1- enter the subscription key on the server

2- install the .ova file to load the OS.

Is there a tutorial to achieve this?

Hello Arielis35! To answer your questions:

1. In the web UI, go to Datacenter -> MACHINE_NAME -> Subscription. There you will be able to activate your subscription. Alternatively, you can do the same using the pvesubscription command-line tool. At this point you will be able to use the Enterprise repository, which will offer the most stable packages and is enabled by default.
2. To import .ova files, please check the chapter on Importing Virtual Machines, which has a section on OVA/OVF Import and another one on importing using the command-line.

In general, there's a Documentation button in the web UI in the top-right corner, and in many of the Proxmox VE dialogs, there's a Help button that takes you right to the correct chapter of the Proxmox VE documentation. Furthermore, there's a wiki page with a lot of useful articles that you might want to check out.
